Rebecca Forgasz

Rebecca has over two decades’ experience working in executive leadership and education-related roles in the Melbourne Jewish community. From 2010-2019, she was Director & CEO of the Jewish Museum of Australia, where she led the Museum through a decade of significant organisational development and creative regeneration. After leaving the Museum, she was appointed as Associate Professor (Practice) at Monash University, initially in the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation and then as Director of the Monash Intercultural Lab. She is currently working as a freelance consultant, and is on the board of several community organisations. In 2018, following her own “climate awakening” Rebecca co-founded the Jewish Climate Network to raise the community’s awareness about the gravity and urgency of the climate crisis and inspire them to take effective action.
