Gigi Fenster

In 2016, Gigi Fenster approached Victoria University (NZ) with an unusual proposal for a PhD – she would induce a fever in herself in an effort to experience fevered dreams. The resulting PhD formed the basis of her second book, Feverish (2018). Gigi’s first book,The Intentions Book (2012), was a finalist in the NZ Post Book Awards and was longlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Award and the Commonwealth Prize. She teaches Creative Writing at Massey University and at Rimutaka Prison.
