Elise Hearst

Elise Hearst is a Melbourne-based playwright, storyteller, writer and occasional performer. She trained in London at the Royal Court Theatre and her plays include Bright World (2016; Theatreworks), co-written with Andrea James, The Sea Project (2012; Griffin Theatre) and The Mesh (2014; Red Stitch), which was shortlisted for the Griffin Award. Elise is currently a resident playwright at the Melbourne Theatre Company, part of the Next Stage writers’ program.
