Hinde Ena Burstin
Hinde Ena Burstin is a writer and researcher who lives and breathes Yiddish. She is a lecturer in Yiddish language, literature and culture at the ACJC (Monash University), where she coordinates the Jacob Kronhill Program in Yiddish Language and Culture. Her PhD reinstates critical and creative voices of Yiddish women writers of the 1920s. She conducts archival research to retrieve unknown Yiddish women’s poems, contextualises these poems within their social and literary milieu and brings them to new audiences through literary translation and performance.
